My Special Self Portrait

 At the start of week 1 of term 4 we did self-portrait art, we learned how to mix colors to match our skin tone and our hair color.

For this task, the teacher had to take a picture of us and give us a lamination folder and get a sharpie and we had to sketch the creases and the shape of our face and hair, we also had to sketch our t-shirt. 

I enjoyed this activity, the challenging part was getting the right brown for my face.

For This Task, We Had To Create A Poster About Service. We Got A Link To Go To This Site That Lets You Pick A Service poster Theme, I Picked The Classroom Rules Theme.

I Really Enjoyed Animating The Images And The TextBoxes. The Challenging Part Was Thinking About What To Write Because There Was A Lot Of Things That I Wanted To Write In The Textboxes Because Tey Were All Nice Things And So Cool To Write About.

I Took A Picture With Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern

After church, my family went to get a vaccine and we saw Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and got out of the car and went and talked to Jacinda Ardern, she talked a bit about the vaccine. She was brought here to try and make people get the vaccine so they can be safe and since the Prime Minister was here I got a free Hot Chocolate and some snacks and some lollies. I enjoyed taking pictures and talking to the Prime Minister. Do You Like Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern? She serves the people, she is very kind and caring. I am really proud of our Prime Minister. There Should Be A Gaming Club

 

I Have Been Learning How To Write A Speech And How To Describe What I’m Writing About. We Learnt This Because We Had To Share Our Speeches With The Class And Some Of Us Would Be In The Semi-Finals And After The Semi-Finals We Would Get In The Finals And Someone Would Come Out On Top And Be The Finalist Winner. For This Task, We Had To Plan Our Speeches On Our Writing Book And Use Them To Write Our Speeches And Share Them With The Class Would You Like To Write A Speech?

Do You Like Gaming? I Strongly Believe That There Is Not Enough Free Time At School For Kids and Teachers Have Loads Of Free Time. We Don't Even Get To Play Video Games. The closest thing is Minecraft education So I Think they should add a gaming club. So People Who Like Gaming Can Join And After Morning Tea The people Who Joined Can Go There And Play All Sorts Of Games. 

Firstly Kids Love Gaming, They Should Have More Time On Gadgets. And Some Games Like Prodigy Are Very Fun And Help You Solve Mathematical Problems. And Minecraft Education Helps You To Learn To Code And Coding Is Fun.

Lastly, It Provides Many Opportunites For Growth And Learning. Games Don’t Affect Your Performance In School At All. Kids Miss Less School And Graduate At A Higher Rate.

As You Can See That Is Why I Think That There Should Be Gaming Clubs At School.

Mr Wolf Is Not Guilty

 This week we read about Little Red Riding Hood and had to choose if Mr. Wolf was guilty or not guilty. For this task I chose Mr. Wolf Is not guilty because I think he was trying to be nice to Little Red Riding Hood and be friends with her. For this task, we had to write three reasons why Mr. Wolf Was guilty or not guilty. My first reason was Mr. Wolf is not guilty because he never ate grandma, my second reason was Mr. Wolf put grandma in the cupboard to keep her safe and my last reason was he put grandma in the cupboard to find the real, nice grandma.  Do you think Mr. Wolf is guilty or not? My Pen Pal

Hey bloggers Today we had to write to our friends and our family, I choose to write to my friends because I could not see all of them and I never saw my friend Jaden so I thought I should write to him because he never sees me and I never see him. For this task, I had to make a copy of a pen pal slide and fill in the lines that are underlined with black. Minecraft Habitats

For this task, I had to make a habitat in Minecraft. For my habitat, I made a bee farm and it turned out to be really good I tried to add a few beehives and not a lot of bees because then the whole server would lag. I did this task because it was really fun and I like bees a lot. And I really like honey. 

Cool Compost

 Do you know what compost is? In this piece of writing I will explain to you how compost is made, what it is, and the benefits of compost.

How is it made?

Compost is made up of lots of different things like soil, grass, leaves, eggshells, and most of the time food scraps. Microorganisms and worms help break down all of the waste materials that are put into compost which is really good for the environment. 

The benefits of composting 

The process of compost to breakdown takes two weeks to two years depending on the materials used, the size of the pile, and how often it is turned. Compost is ready when it has cooled, turned a rich brown color, and has decomposed into small soil-like particles. 

Microorganisms and bugs eat the things that you put into the compost bin and poop it out and this will make compost. This compost is rich and healthy for plants that are growing because of the nutrients in the soil. 

Conclusion  

I think Compost is a great material for gardeners and people who want to grow plants and saplings. And you don’t waste any food and your plants can be nice and healthy.

Exciting Experiments

I have been learning about experiments and how they work. I learned this because experiments are really fun to do and they show you a bit of science.

For this task, I had to fill the bigger bag with baking soda and the smaller bag with vinegar and food coloring. The color I chose was red. But it turned out to be pink.

I enjoyed putting the ingredients in the bag and exploding the bag with vinegar and food coloring.

Ridiculous Robots

Hey bloggers, I have been learning about robots and how they work. I learned this because robots are
fascinating and also kind of interesting in how they work.
For this task, I had to draw a robot, type what my robots were about, and brainstorm four ideas.
I enjoyed drawing my robot. The challenging part was picking what robot to draw because they all looked very complicated but I thought I should do something simple and easy so I did a really easy drawing.

Get Out And Get Active

I have been learning some soccer skills and watching some real soccer games to improve my soccer skills.

I have been kicking a ball all around the back yard. 

I enjoyed kicking the ball with my family, it was challenging to kick the ball and take pictures at the same time.

I think that the rocket will get so much pressure in it that the rocket will get released into the air and go sky high.I think that because it's the water is trying to go up but it's going down so the water gets forced down to make the rocket go up.

 Do you know what a aqua pod is? Well i'm here to explain to you what a aqua pod is, a aqua pod is a orange looking launchpad, it has a attachment point for the bottle and a valve for the pump. The pump is to add air pressure into the bottle. The bottle would be filled with a third of water. The water is like the rocket fuel. 

First we had to attach the pump and pump air into the bottle eight times, Next we had to stand on the wall of room one and room eleven. Then we counted down from ten. Now we were saying ten nine eight seven, Finally Mrs Harrison pulled the trigger and the rocket went flying. Now we ran to the rocket and took it back to class, hope I have shared some information with you.

How does a Bee Bot work?

Do you know how a Bee Bot works? I am here to explain how a Bee Bot works.

 A Bee Bot has a Bee shaped frame that covers its Components.

It's Yellow with Black stripes.It has five buttons on the top and two on the back.On the bottom it has three switches on the bottom that activate the Bee Bot.

 A Bee Bot is great for teaching children how to program or code something. You can do this to help understand coding. The Bee Bots forward and backward buttons are orange and the two back buttons are blue.

 A Bee Bot has two rubber wheels that spin. When you want the Bee Bot to turn one wheel spin forward and the other wheel spins backward.That's how it turns.

 In conclusion, Bee Bots are great for kids who are learning how to code and program. I hope I’ve shared some information with you that helped you learn about Bee Bots.

My amazing math golf course

I learnt how to find the area and the perimeter. For perimeter you have to multiply the width and length and for area add all the sides together.

My learning went great because I learnt about how to find the area and the perimeter. I enjoyed placing the obstacles and finding the area was challenging.

 We have been learning how to code on scratch. My sprite was a dragonfly, wait! you don't know what a sprite is, i'll explain to you what a sprite is.A sprite is a character of your own choice. For example I want to be a star or a bear, you can be whatever you want. You can also change your backdrop, Your backdrop is a background.I'ts a lot of fun.

The Mysterious Legend of Man and Sea

Hey bloggers, I have been learning about Samoan tattoos. I watched a video about samoan tattoos and why Samoan people get one.The video taught me about what the parts of the tattoo-injecting utensils are, and what they are made of. They are made of turtle shells and sticks. They inject the ink into your body and you lose a lot of blood in the process. Now I understand how much Samoan tattoos hurt.

 

My Covenant Poster

On Week 3 we learnt about Covenants and my group choose a poster. A Covenant is a sacred Agreement with God. I enjoyed placing the pictures and writing in the words because I got to write whatever I wanted about Covenants, since Im a new student the teacher helped me with my objectives. I found fitting the writing in the poster hard because if I made it small no one could read the poster so we had to try and make it readable and detailed so it was quite tricky to make it fit. My digital learning object shows how to explain what a Covenant is, what the difference is to a Covenant and an agreement. Next time I would change my paragraphs in my writing my blog Post.
